Our first few months of marriage...

So, Jeff and I usually do laundry at my sister Kelsi's house since they have a washer and dryer, and we do have one, but they are definitely not in working order. We were folding the laundry together one day and we found our nephew's sock. Haha Jeff was confused and thought his sock had shrunk!

Jeff and I made this beyond delicious bbq chopped chicken salad. YUM.

Jeff and I also decided to make pizza one night with our pizza pans that we had gotten as a wedding gift. It actually turned out really great!

This one needs some explaining. Jeff and I went to the Salt Lake temple to our friends' Trevor and Leah's wedding. In between the sealing and all the pictures, Jeff ran back to the car in the conference center parking lot. Soon enough, I got a call from Jeff. He said he had been on his way up through the elevator in the conference center and he got STUCK. I hurried and ran back so as to try and not miss Trevor and Leah's triumphant exit from the temple, but I soon learned that this adventure was going to take an hour and a half. While I waited (and talked with Jeff through the slit in the elevator), the security guard and I made small talk. It was quite an adventure, indeed.

After Trevor and Leah's wedding, Jeff and I (and a few others from the gang) took a little trip to the brand new City Creek Center mall. It was amazing! We also took a gander inside the DISNEY STORE!!

This is Jeff aka Spiderman. Yep, I am married to this guy.

Jeff was absolutely appalled that I would leave such little milk in the milk container and then put it in the fridge. What can I say, I am a HOARDER and I really hate to waste things. Especially milk. I love milk haha. Please forgive me Jeffrey.

This was at Jeff's cousin's wedding yesterday at the Draper Temple. His cousin Nathan Romney married Mindy (Noftle). It was a beautiful wedding, and we are so glad we could share it with them.

Jeff and me in front of the Draper Temple. What a beautiful day!

Jeff's parents were in town the whole week before the wedding. We got to spend a lot of time with them. It was wonderful.

Nate and Mindy and some of the gang. Cute couple.

So, Jeff and I went on a date to the batting cages a couple of nights ago, and the pitching machine was completely out of control. It was pitching balls ALL over the place. I was literally scared for my life. Next thing I knew, I got pelted in the knee (fast pitch) and what do you know?! There was a fatty bruise in that same place the next day. Perhaps I will put up another picture of what the actual bruise looks like...

I then had a hard time with Jeff when he was constantly trying to cuddle with me or be close to me when he would touch or knock my bruised knee somehow. It got to the point where I had to tell him over and over again NOT to touch my bruised knee! So eventually he decided to go and attach this little sign to my leg so he could be automatically reminded when he thought to touch my knee somehow.

Our first married Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day, Jeff and I had some fun being on the committee for the Stake Valentine's dance. Here is a picture from the dance.

Jeff had some time to rock out.

On Valentine's Day, I came home from school, and Jeff had BACON ROSES waiting for me on the table. I thought I was dreaming. It blew my MIND haha. I knew he was a keeper.

The bacon roses had this note next to it: 'Jill, I'm sorry I missed you when I stopped by at home, but I brought you some roses to freshen up our home. Love, Jeff.'

The creator himself.

Delicious BACON ROSES. Yum. Hahaha.

Jeff and I also went out to Chili's for Valentine's Day. It was fantastic and yummy.

Christmas in SoCal

So right after our honeymoon, we had Jeff's brother Seth pick us up from the port and drive us back to his house. We then had a reception December 27th. It was beautiful. Right after the reception, we opened all of our wedding gifts at his parents' house.

We also had a little Nativity program with most of his nieces and nephews at their house. I thought it was such a great idea! And all of them looked so cute.

Jeff had lots of fun playing with Ben.

As is tradition, the Olson family had a pinata! And all the nieces and nephews had a great time.

As is also tradition, all of the kids get new pajamas the night before Christmas, so that way they're excited about it and then change into them and then they're all ready for bed when they get home!

Jeff and I got this cool decorative plate from Jeff's parents for Christmas. They bought it for us while they were on their mission in Mexico. It says: 'En este hogar hay paz y armonia.' In this home, there is peace and harmony. We now have it sitting on our little kitchen table at home. It reminds us of that simple message each and every day.

A couple of days after Christmas, I caught Jeff playing with Ben's brand new toy. I knew he was just a little kid in a grown-up's body! Ben later got mad that Jeff was playing with his toy haha.

Jeff and I also got to see all the lights all around a string of neighborhoods near his hometown. They were absolutely amazing!

This was our favorite. One of the houses didn't have ANY decorations. Except for this. It was pointing to another house that was decorated so much that it almost made your eyes hurt. Ha.

There were a couple of houses that even decorated their garage! It was craaaazy.

Oh, and did we mention they decorated their living room, too?!?!

Jeff even got to sit on Santa's lap!

Bridals!

I also forgot to mention that I went and took bridals a little bit before the wedding. Veronica Olson was great!  What a fun shoot. Here are just a few samples:
