27 1/2 weeks!

How far along? 27 1/2 weeks!

Weight gain/loss: Gain. Do I HAVE to post how much I have
gained thus far? Haha.

Maternity clothes? Definitely. My pants and skirtsare waaay
too small to button up! Gotta love the bella band. And comfy
maternity shirts.

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep? Jeff and I have both had nasty colds for the past couple
of weeks, so I have had a lot of coughing fits throughout the night.
I haven't really slept well because of that, but I think it
is starting to go away (finally!). I also still flip back
and forth on my special prego pillow a lot, but I think I am
becoming a little more used to it, if that makes any sense.

Best moment this week? Going to my baby care basics class
at the hospital. Even though it was pretty overwhelming to
be reminded once again of how difficult it will be to raise
a child, it still made me very excited!

Other favorite moment: Watching my belly and seeing him
wriggle around and kick and punch!

Movement: He mostly moves in the early morning and then late at night
when I am going to sleep.

Food cravings: Smoothies- strawberry and banana (and blueberries

and blackberries) to be exact.

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs? No.

Belly button in or out? Just barely in. But slowly making it's way
out I think. Ah!

What I miss? Playing volleyball!!!!! And once again,
sleeping on my back. And cold deli sandwiches!

What I am looking forward to? Seeing our little boy's face.

Weekly wisdom: This nasty cold will eventually go away!
More like a reminder to myself.

Milestones: Rutabaga size! 'He's practicing inhaling and exhaling
with his rapidly developing lungs. It's official: Baby's showing
brain activity! And his brain will keep on getting more complex.'

24 1/2 weeks!

How far along? 24 1/2 weeks! I am due March 6th! SO crazy.

Weight gain/loss: Gain. Do I HAVE to post how much I have
gained thus far? Haha.

Maternity clothes? Definitely. My pants are waaay too small

to button up! Gotta love the bella band. And comfy maternity shirts.

Stretch marks? Not yet.

Sleep? I flip back and forth on my special prego pillow a lot

through the night, but I do think I am sleeping a little bit
better lately. Thank goodness! When I first used the pillow,
my back would hurt so bad that I would wake up crying. It was
miserable. I think I am getting used to it though. Good news.
Best moment this week? SEEING our little baby boy kick inside

my tummy. I even took a video of it so Jeff could see the kicks
he was doing. I am a little afraid of how active he will probably
be, especially since Jeff was SUCH a crazy monkey boy. We are very
excited though.

Other favorite moment: Seeing him on the ultrasound. He was hiding
his cute little face with his arms. Precious boy.

Movement: Lots. The first movement I felt was at stake conference
for church, and the speaker was talking about missionary work! Wow,
it was so cool. I guess that's a good sign, right?! I really hope
that we can raise a good little missionary.

Food cravings: Smoothies- strawberry and banana (and blueberries

and blackberries) to be exact. I also craved cinnabon cinnamon rolls
hardcore a couple of weeks ago. I finally ended up caving and making
a copycat recipe. They were yummy!!!!

Gender: Boy!

Labor signs? No.

Belly button in or out? In. But slowly making it's way out I think. Ah!
What I miss? Sleeping on my back. And cold deli sandwiches! And riding

California Screamin and Tower of Terror and other crazy rides at
Disneyland and California Adventure. (We caved and bought Disneyland
passes). Such a great decision. We have already gone several times,
with and without friends.

What I am looking forward to? Seeing our little boy's face.

Weekly wisdom: Sleep. And be patient with Jeff.

Milestones: Canteloupe size! Almost, cauliflower size haha. 'Nipples

are sprouting, and face is fully formed.' Next week, he will know
which way is up and which way is down. Yay!

Jordan and Emily's Wedding, 8-1-12

This past week, Jordan (Jeff's old roommate and close friend) and Emily got married! They were sealed in the Bountiful temple on August 1st, 2012. It was such a beautiful day, and they are so perfect together. We are so happy for both of them. They are wonderful!

The happy couple when they first came out of the temple. Mr. and Mrs. Bean!

They're so cute!

The manly picture.

Jeff and me in front of the Bountiful temple.

In between the sealing and the reception later that night, Jeff and Neil (another one of Jeff's old roommates and friends) found some trees nearby and turned into monkeys. They were all over the place. They were having so much fun though, so I didn't bother to try and get them down. Plus, I was too scared to climb up there.

Jeff and Neil. Climbing buddies.

I told you, he's a monkey. I love him though. A lot.

Jordan and Emily's first dance. They are adorable.

What a beautiful couple. And a beautiful day!

Jeff's 23rd Birthday! (surprise party)

This year, I decided to be super sneaky and try and throw Jeff an epic surprise birthday party. Believe it or not, I actually kept the secret in for about two whole weeks! I invited some of our old friends, too. In order to get Jeff out of the house so I could decorate and make all the food and stuff, I told him that I was taking a test, and that I needed to study for awhile. I also had to lie to him and tell him that the testing center closes at 5 on Saturdays, when they actually close at 3. I know, really sneaky. So I eventually got him out of the house because I told him I had to go study at UVU and then (after a little bit of convincing), he agreed to go on campus at BYU and work on some of his dental school applications. He kept begging me to let him stay home so that he could watch the Olympics and take a nap, but I eventually talked him into going to campus, mostly because I told him that 'he would be more productive there.' Haha. Anyway, while he was gone, I got most everything ready. However, thanks to Jordan Bean, the surprise was not ruined. Basically, I called Jordan up a little bit before the party and told him that I really needed his help stalling so I could have more time to get things ready. Jordan definitely saved the day. He told Jeff he needed help with a couch, and somehow, he distracted him for like two hours. Jordan and Emily are awesome haha. By the way, they're getting married TOMORROW! Woohoo!

Some of the decorations.

I know, fancy haha.

I also attempted to make a fruit pizza thing this year for Jeff. He absolutely LOVED it. I was so happy. Basically because my mom made fruit pizza for me a few times for my birthday, and I would pretty much beg her to make it for me all the time. So I was pretty confident that Jeff would like it, too. I was brave this year for his birthday haha. And it was great, because this thing was gone in about ten minutes.

Jeff's birthday fruit pizza!

Birthday boy with the birthday brownies. So precious.

Oh yeah, he's mine. What a cute birthday boy.

Having fun with the noise-makers that totally did NOT make any noise. Thank you, dollar store.

They looked pretty cool though.

Looks like he had a great birthday party. So glad the surprise part was a huge success!

Happy birthday Jeff!!!

Fun dates in July

For Jeff's birthday this year, I decided to attempt to be sneaky and order a nice new 6 player croquet set so we could go on more dates with other couples. I mean, come on. Croquet is the perfect date idea, right?! So, it got delivered to our door step, and Jeff saw it waaay before his birthday. So the surprise was pretty much ruined. Long story short, we decided to just bust the box open and go out and play that night together. We even had a little picnic together with free pizza before playing. It was a lot of fun. It is definitely not the fanciest croquet set, especially since the balls we used got pretty banged up already, but we are really excited to use it! We are both happy with his awesome (not-so-surprise) birthday present.

Jeff showing off his juggling skills with our brand new croquet balls.

He was actually pretty good. I'm so proud.

Jeff and I also got to go zip-lining for free in Provo Canyon with our starving student card deal. It definitely did not last for very long, but it was a lot of fun. And it was cool to be in the beautiful mountains while doing it. We kind of decided that this was our honeymoon replacement photo, since they didn't let us take any pictures on our zip-lining tour in Mexico.

We almost got attacked by a bunch of cows driving back from zip-lining.

Random man fly-fishing.

Driving back to Provo from the Canyon.

'This is the Place' Heritage Park and Hogle Zoo in SLC

A couple of weeks ago, Jeff and I took a little trip up to Salt Lake because we had free tickets to the 'This is the Place' Heritage Park, and also free tickets to the Hogle Zoo. We had such an amazing day! Jeff and I had also signed up for a bunch of the birthday club things at various places, including Benihana in Salt Lake, so we got to go there for dinner that night together. Yay for free tickets!

This guy was awesome! He literally kept doing laps back and forth from the glass back out to that rock in the background. What a great shot.

A bird.

It was super hot that day. Luckily they had monstrous fans that shot out water to cool us down. Thank goodness.

This was special.
